The WHO Foundation begins accepting applications at the end of March each year. If you have recently received a grant from WHO, we ask that you wait three years before applying again.

2. When is the deadline for application?
Grant applications must be at the foundation by the 2nd Tuesday of September by 5pm Central time.

3. How will I know if I have received a grant?
Grant recipients will be notified by early December. Because of the volume of requests we receive, we ask that you not call to inquire on the status of your application. See the application criteria for additional information.

4. Will I be notified if my grant request is received?
You will not be notified if your grant request is received unless you include two self-addressed stamped envelopes with your application.

5. May I fax my application?
Faxed submissions will not be accepted. Please see the guidelines on the application form.

6. May I apply for personal funding?
The WHO Foundation does not give grants to individuals. Please see our application criteria.

7. Why does the WHO Foundation not fund religious organizations?
It has been decided by our Board of Directors to not make commitment of funds to any religious organization.

If your organization’s 501(c)(3) is over three years old and at least two consecutive years of budget is included with application you may still apply for funding.
